ABOUT
Hi, I'm Allison Yancey.
As a Registered Nurse with more than 30 years of healthcare experience, my passion for gut health grew through both professional observations and personal exploration into microbiome health, the gut-brain connection, and conditions such as Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth (SIBO). Emerging research continues to reveal how modern lifestyle factors - chronic stress, ultra-processed foods, environmental exposures, poor sleep, and repeated antibiotic use - can profoundly impact microbial diversity and digestive function. These discoveries are reshaping how we think about health from the inside out.
At NurtureRise Wellness and Consulting, I believe many chronic symptoms are not random disruptions, but signals from a body asking to be understood. Digestive discomfort, bloating, fatigue, brain fog, food sensitivities, sleep disturbances, and inflammation are increasingly being linked in research to the health of the gut microbiome - the complex ecosystem that influences digestion, immunity, metabolism, mood, and overall well-being. Rather than masking the symptoms alone, I believe true wellness begins by asking deeper questions about what may be contributing to imbalance.
Through Nurture Rise Wellness, I offer an evidence-informed, holistic coaching approach designed to help women and men better understand their bodies and support long-term wellness through sustainable lifestyle practices. My focus includes gut and microbiome health, nutrition and digestive wellness, stress resilience, sleep optimization, and nervous system support. I believe healing is rarely about perfection or quick fixes, but about creating consistent daily habits that allow the body the opportunity to restore balance.
My mission is to empower individuals with education, support, and practical strategies that help them reconnect with their health in a more informed and meaningful way. When we begin to listen to the body instead of fighting against it, we often uncover that symptoms may not simply be problems to suppress, but important messages guiding us toward healing, resilience, and lasting wellness.
